Event 1
Participation: The event involved 200 citizens, including 2 participants from the city of Zaragoza (Spain), 2 participants from the city of Mérida (Spain), 1 participant from the city of Tarragona (Spain), 1 participants from the city of Calatayud (Spain), 1 participant from the city of Zagreb (Croatia), 1 participant from the city of Dubrovnik (Croatia), 1 participant from the city of Scutari (Albania), 2 participants from the city of Agia (Greece), 1 participant from Belene (Bulgaria), 2 participants from the city of Kaniža (Serbia), 186 local participants (Italy).
Location / Dates: The event took place in Campobasso, Italy, from 10/03/2014 to 11/03/ 2014.
Short description: The aim of the event, entitled " Social Farming in Europe, the road to the rural development" was to illustrate general and specific objectives of the RURACT project to the citizenship; to discuss around the state of the art and typologies of social farming activities in Europe, rural policies and absence of references in the European legislation supporting social farming activities, social farming and sustainable development. During the event, working groups were organized to identify weaknesses and strengths of social farming in Europe.
Event 2
Participation: The event involved 123 citizens, including 3 participants from the city of Campobasso (Italy), 1 participant from the city of Potenza (Italy), 2 participants from the city of Kaniža (Serbia), 2 participants from the city of Agia (Greece), 2 participants from the city of Zagreb (Croatia), 1 participant from the city of Berovo (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), 1 participant from the city of Scutari (Albania) 111 local participants (Spain).
Location / Dates: The event took place in Zaragoza and Calatayud (Spain), from 28/05/2014 to 30/05/2014.
Short description: The aim of the event, entitled "Social farming as an European policies tool", was to go deep into social farming problems, showing the points of view of different agents and producers involved to a lower or greater extent, in social farming, that it's to say, get into the practical level to have first hand information about this activity that can promote the rural development in depressed areas. Specifically, the event has focused on social farming and social inclusion policies and many local best practices of social inclusion through the involvement of disadvantaged people has been explored in Spain.
Event 3
Participation: The event involved 205 citizens, including 2 participants from the city of Kaniža (Serbia), 3 participants from the city of Agia (Greece), 1 participant from the city of Tarragona (Spain), 1 participant from the city of Zaragoza (Spain), 2 participants from the city of Merida (Spain), 1 participant from the city of Scutari (Albania), 195 local participants (Italy).
Location / Dates: The event took place in Potenza (Italy), from 16/04/2015 to 17/04/2015.
Short description: The aim of the event was to present European best practices of social farming activities and well as to involve participants to visit local best practices. During the two days, study visits in local social gardens and local family nests have been arranged.
Event 4
Participation: The event involved 403 citizens, including 1 participant from the city of Zaragoza (Spain) and 2 participants from the city of Tarragona (Spain), 400 local participants (Spain).
Location / Dates: The event took place in Kanjiza, Serbia, from 15/10/2015 to 16/10/2015.
Short description: The aim of the event was to finalize the information brochure about social farming activities in partner countries, to debate on workshops about best practice to get social farming to the position of new professional opportunity in the field of socio-economic development in rural areas. Discussions were held with local farmers and institution leaders about Serbian opportunities for the integration into the European family.
Event 5
Participation: The event involved 200 citizens, including 1 participant from the city of Zagreb (Croatia), 1 participant from the city of Tarragona (Spain), 2 participants from the city of Mogila (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), 4 participants from the city of Konispol (Albania), 2 participants from the city of Kaniža (Serbia), 3 participants from the city of Agia (Greece), 187 local participants (Italy).
Location / Dates: The event took place in Campobasso and Isernia (Italy) from 25/02/2016 to 26/02/2016.
Short description: The aim of the event was to illustrate to the citizens and policy makers the project's results. Furthermore, the event has focused on partners' experiences in the RURACT project and on the importance of networks in Europe. One to one meetings between locals municipalities and institutions coming from partners' countries have been organized in order to stimulate future town twinnings.
